Here it was Saturday afternoon and I was just minding my little etsy shop business trying so hard to cover some stones to offer in the pre announced etsy shop update for today when on my flickr screen what does appear but a knock you off your chair , beautiful image from my very talented friend Geninne. Here it is on her first blog update after signing off for a few weeks. I tried to love it and leave it but oh no it just kept distracting me to the point where I had to lay down my crochet hook, thread my embroidery needle with some brown thread and the rest is now history. This is how things ended.
You might recognize that bunting, it was a gift from Geninne along with a great many other fantastic paper goods. I can't wait to decorate everything with her beautiful colorful papers. Geninne, you are the best distraction a friend could ever have. Thank you so much!!
So if I am a few stones short today in my etsy shop update at 5 pm EST you now know why :)
Beautiful, Margie! It is so amazing to me that you can just pick up your needle and thread and end up with something so wonderful. You are a true artist.

Oh my, I would have been equally distracted ! Gennine creates such beauty, in everything she touches. Lucky lucky you to own that gorgeous bunting !
You were absolutely inspired as this felt pouch is out of this world. Such a color can not leave you unhappy :)
Can't wait to see your shop update, my friend, you've been working hard. Good luck for this new work week. oxoxo

I loved Gennine's creation also. And your little pocket/purse, oh my. I wish you would make some for your etsy store. All the kids in my family would adore one! Yesterday 3 of them (7, 7, 4) were out in the yard collecting acorns in baggies!

Could there be a better distraction? Beautiful, both the inspiration and your resulting piece.

I just love how you reinterpreted Geninne's work to make it yours. The interplay between artists is amazing to see. I also love how handy that little acorn/feather pouch is.

I completly understand you. I´m always distracted by Geninne's work. But I have to say that the same happens with your beautiful blog. As a designer, photography lover and had worked several years with environmental education, it´s pretty hard to come here and not being distracted with your work. Thanks for all the amzing things you share with us :)
