Today I am imagining my mom hugging the branches covered in small pink blossoms of my darling little tree boy, Samuel, on this his birthday. His Grandmother, Alice was one of a very special handful of people who could see his beautiful spirit that lay within his small "broken" vessel. His picture was on the highboy right beside her bed and she would say that her little angel was keeping his eyes on her.
Happy birthday son and please tell your grandmother everyone is okay.

Margie I love your tree boy. I went back to your original post and saw the beautiful stitching and his leaves, so special. Happy birthday to your tree boy.

Your grace in the midst of loss is beautiful. May you have peace in the knowledge that your son and mother are together, loved and beloved.

Oh, Margie, happy birthday to your forever little one, now a tree spirit. That post is still my favorite one.

Imagining the birthday party of your little tree boy in the fantastic woodland picture that Joanie sent me, makes my heart feel a little less heavy for you. He must be happy to have his dear Grandma close to him forever now. I'll send you a photo of that "Pookie" page with the stone heart ...

Oh Margie...I lost a little boy too, four years ago. It's a special kind of hurt that stays with you always, isn't it? Much love to you and Samuel today.
