I spent such a quiet and relaxing New Year's Day. Just what I needed to kindle the little creative fire that this blog is to me.
Just as the banner says the snow was falling softly all day long and I did venture outside for a bit but never got beyond my garden and porch. I took some wonderful pictures of the fresh snow that I will share with you tomorrow.
The kitties did get into the party mix last night and were looking a little disheveled with their torn or missing hankies. They slept almost the entire day and only edgar ventured outside for a little stroll.
Dear Margie, I'm so happy you managed to relax these last days, you really deserve to make a break, you're always so much sollicitated (don't know if it's the right word for what I mean, byt nevermind, I think you get the idea) Sometimes we need to go no further than the front door or backyard and stay in the limits of our nest sweet nest.
Sending you tons of hugs for this weekend. xoxoxo

Happy New Year to you, Margie. Thank you so much, again, for the snowy photos. Here in Maryland snow is almost non-happening so when I see your pics of snow I do miss it (a bit). Winter here is mostly green and brown, really. There are a few plants that bloom, like the Camelia, but, sometimes I miss a real Ontario winter.
There is an excitement about celebrating all of nature's seasons.
I LOVE your milk-weed seed collection! I smile each time I see it....enjoy your new year!

Oh man! I wish it was cold enough around these parts to make some ice lovelies like yours!

I think your kitties had more of a party than we did . . . we like calm new years!

The snow falling is been so severe and intense these days.
Every thing is just stopped.
The cold is too much and so much shivering. It is better to take a rest and stay at home being warm and safe.
