Things are looking up today. Edgar is improving and didn't require surgery on his paw this morning. It was a very long busy day at work but things went smoothly and I even had a chance to step out for a very short walk in the warm sunshine. I started a little stitching project today on a vintage hankie. Sometimes I find embroidery just so relaxing.
daughter: what are you doing?
mother: i am embroidering a tit.
daughter: but we don't even have tits here, aren't they only found in england?
mother: oh we have a great many tits here. I see them everyday at work. Only thing is thank goodness they don't fly.
daughter: ha, ha
Lovely piece..really cute. I wanna do something similar with it some day

Oh I love him and how you've filled in his feathers with tiny stitches.
I really enjoy stitching tits too (the flying kind.) I'm lucky enough to also see the real ones every day, they're such happy little birds.
I'm so glad Edgar is improving!

I think that the bird stitches being lighter in tone than the flowers already present in the hanky really works well. Any stronger colors and the competition between the two might make the hanky look garish. Who knows? Maybe I would try it out both ways and see if I still feel the same. Carolina

Okay. I've been giggling for the past 15 minutes about all the tits you see all day long at work and had to let you know how this has helped to lift some of my depression - along with my first cup of coffee for the day. Thank you SO much!
