maggie and millie and molly and may went down to the beach (to play one day) and maggie discovered a shell that sang so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and millie befriended a stranded star who's rays five languid fingers were; and molly was chased by a horrible thing which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and may came home with a smooth round stone as small as a world and as large as alone. For whatever we lose(like a you or a me) it's always ourselves we find in the sea. ee cummings

Dear Margie: Your photos this past week were so enjoyable - thanks for taking me along! That's a lovely project you worked on while at the beach. Is it finished yet - I'd love to see it! Yours is the first blog I go to each day. It's dear to my heart!

OK I'm weird but the embelished RocketDogs caught my eye. Did you fix them up? Love them. Great shots at the beach also. :)

I love that ee cummings poem. We recently had a small family gathering at the coast. But too much time spent eating and shopping. I need the ocean waves, sand, breezes and small round stones. Thanks for the photos.

I haven't heard that poem since I was a kid - used to read it over and over again! Thanks, and lovely photos!

Gracie and I were just reading this very poem yesterday. She received a beautiful book of poetry from her school because she's moving up to the junior school in the autumn. When we read about may's
"...smooth round stone as small as a world..." I of course thought of you!
Thanks fpr your wonderful weekend images Margie.

Gorgeous photos. I'd really love to know more about your quilt - did you make it yourself? Is it all hand stitched together or were the stitches added later on? It's really beautiful.
