The sparrow is coming along nicely and I have begun to cross stitch on naturally dyed raw silks to make some ornaments. While stitching I have been watching every you tube video of rufus wainwright. My daughter and I will be seeing him next month at Massey Hall. I heard this place described today as the Canadian Carnegie Hall where it just so happens rufus is also playing this month.
Can you hear the little sparrows talking to each other in the studio. While we are on the subject of birds. I witnessed something for the very first time on the weekend. A chickadee snapping a large argiope spider out of its web in the front of the house and eating it whole. In fact I learned that the niger seeds I lovingly place out for these darling birds is really not what they want to eat at all. They much prefer a diet of spiders, insects and the eggs of both of these.
Sorry for the poor photograph but that is the little chickadee just after it grabbed the spider.
There is a wonderful shop update tomorrow which I am sure you won't want to miss. Sonia has been stitching up a bushel of wonderful fabric acorn necklaces.
