I am very blessed to work steps away from a protected wet land. It was very warm one day this week and I decided to step out at lunch to see if I could be enchanted by the chorus of spring peepers. I wasn't disappointed but in between the song I heard many other sounds of awakening. Some I was able to capture with my camera and some I only caught glimpses of from the corner of my eye ( the turtles diving into the water).
i am finding these spring colors very inspiring

brrr shivered at the sight of the snake
spring is at long last showing the tip of its nose, in your corner of the world ! Can't believe how late it is this year. I hope it will make up for this delay ;-)
thank you so much for all the delightful macros.

I love the photo of the snail among the buds - it is an unusual spot for a snail, but gorgeous.

I love these photos even more than usual, especially the hover fly at the end (that's what they're called in Britain - I assume it's the same in Canada?).

Oh Spring is grand, isn't it? Though I'm not sure I could handle the snake encounter. I'd much rather deal with grizzly bears. :) Happy spring to you and yours!
