Just stopping in to share some of the weekends blues with you. I hit a garage sale this morning and was very fortunate to find a beautiful collection of cobalt blue bottles in different shapes and sizes. I also did a little dyeing of vintage hankies with indigo and woad ( difficult to tell which is which with my fermentation vats). I hope to do some embroidery on these this summer.
oh and I overdyed some wool felt as well:)
I think I was trying to capture this long sun infused warm summer day in that bottle too.

I used to know a woman who had a magical house in the country. It had a large glassed-in porch. All the windows had shelved filled with nothing but blue glass bottles. It was absolutely enchanting when the sun streamed in. Thank you for reminding of this with your lovely photos.

to me it seems like you might have succeeded - the glow in that bottle is amazing. your indigo dyeing seems to be going so well, i think you are understanding the rhythms of the vat quite well so far. i can only hope i might slowly figure it out too.

I don't know if you were able to capture the sun in the bottle but you definitely captured it in your photos.
