lilith lou lou & oscar

we had  lou lou & oscar playtime on saturday

in honor of the lovely maker and friend lisa 

at first lilith couldn't decide between polar fish boy and chatty catty but in the end the cat won

they always do in our home

btw it was lisa's birthday on saturday:)

got the watercolor paints out today

to make a birthday card for a very special person

looking forward to the weekend

 

to explore the forest and the garden

spend some time with my sweet little litith 

sharing some delicious food with my family

cuddling with the kitties

stitching some indigo fabrics

so many catkins

and other ways that spring is pushing forth

really enjoying this warmth

catkin is  from the dutch katteken, meaning "kitten"

edgar, arwen and lord byron wanted me to add that little bit :)

not much to show

i had to set aside my indigo work for a little bit

to take up the hook for a large commissioned piece

that unfortunately i can't show you quite yet

but I did make a little extra to go along with it

that was all a flutter to have it's picture taken

it really is as warm as it looks in these photographs:)

spring arrived like a dragon

warming the air with it's firey breath

do you see the dragon imagery ?

i must have passed by this small tree over a hundred times

but i never noticed these tiny red flowers in the spring before

the catkins were already heavy laden with pollen

I fear the trees will push forth their leaves and close the canopy before the wild flowers have had a fair chance of pushing their way out of the dead leaf covered ground this year.
