the only natural dyeing i have done this winter is indigo
i have managed to keep a little indigo pot going all these long dark, cold months
it lives in the kitchen , by the stove
it is covered up in a hand felted tea cozy
with a handwritten not on it that says
"do not disturb indigo baby"
I have fed her a few times, stirred her on occasion
i tell her how much i appreciate her every time I am preparing a meal by the stove
and so far she seems content to continue to share her magical blue with my fibers and me

m with the occasional blue hands
Magic, you always instill magic in my daily life. Thank you so much for that. I love your blue crochets, and I love that wooden slice so much !

A deep sigh of contentment on reading this. Indigo and snow are two of my favourite things. Beautiful.

Thank you for my morning smile me dear. Snow and indigo do go together so well. I am in London just down the road and is nice to have a kindred spirit so close by. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and life with all of us that enjoy you. And you daughter is so sweet.

What kind of indigo vat is this? I only have experience with a bath that will only work for a bout a day (& has to stay warm). I LOVE working with the magic of indigo... been spinning up skeins, working toward the next indigo session.
