I am taking the easy blogging way out today to walk in the forest, clean the house, cook some chicken curry, make christmas ornaments for my exchanges and attend some local rummage sales. I was invited to do a little interview for a series of posts called "crochet geniuses". When Cal emailed me with her request I couldn't stop laughing about the fact that she thought it appropriate to call me that. I made it clear to her before I started that I really only started seriously crocheting a few months ago, that I really only knew the very basic stitches and that I had no idea how to read a "real" crochet pattern. None of this seemed to perturb her. Thanks Cal for thinking of me in a way I would never have thought of my self as and I am looking forward to reading about the other geniuses you have discovered. I am the first and next up in this series is Laura Normandin of Wren Handmade.
I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.
I love this little guy!
I have been so busy but had to
stop by! I love you post for
yesterday~ You have touched
many people and then even more!
Your eyes teach everyone how
to see everyday that you post!
You even have taught my family
to see in a whole new light!
And I know that I for one will
never be the same! Thank you~
You as are all of us~greater
than we know~ EACH AN IMPORTANT
PART OF THE WHOLE~ we are just
different...I for one am a
sky piece.. hard to place but
when I am missing you notice.
LOL! What piece of the whole
puzzle are you? This is a good
question for each of us, no?
I have fallen in love with your
dear little blog~ and hope that
it is around for a very long
time! Thank goodness that you
thought quick that day...
we all get a different wake up
call to life, I remember mine.
I am sure that when everyone
gets it they remember, just not
everyone keeps it fresh in their
memory. This weekend I hope that
we all are safe warm and happy...
counting our sweet blessings.
Mine are all asleep.
Rane.

I decided to click on your "crochet" category tonight and I scrolled to the bottom of the page and found this post. I find this so inspiring :) You are a crochet genius (and that is about how I perceive you too) who had only started crocheting a few months prior to this article, which is a few more months prior to now. But, it is so much more than the longevity and experience (though that of course helps)... it is the love of the craft and the creative discovery. I am amazed at your work. The intricacy, the patters which all remind me of the uniqueness of nature - spider webs, sea urchins, ferns, snow flakes, lotus flowers, buds, limpets.... Totally awesome.
