"Water, thou hast no taste, no color, no odor; canst not be defined, art relished while ever mysterious.
Not necessary to life, but rather life itself, thou fillest us with a gratification that exceeds the delight
of the senses." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery, From Wind, Sand and Stars, 1939
Sometimes I can see the entire world in a drop of water. It is something so precious and as long as I live I will never take clean , healthy water for granted.
I hope you all have a refreshing start to your weekends.
I just found out the long awaited documentary Waterlife is playing in Toronto starting on Friday . Music by some of my favorites including Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Ross and Brian Eno.
I love that quote.
Wonderful lovely photos as always
Margie. I feel clean and refreshed
just reading your post tonight.
Fern and her friends are so super
cute and sweet. Thank you for
taking the time from your very
busy life to let us visit your
back yard this evening.
The kids will love reading this
in the morning.
Loads of love to you and all you
love.

These photos are exquisitely beautiful... I have a soft spot in my heart for the simple gracefulness of snails, and the fern which is reflected in the water in the last photo... lovely.

I have been a follower of your blog for a long time and have been meaning to ask what sort of camera and lens you use for your close up photography. the colours are so crisp and sharp.

These are so crisp and beautiful! Amazing photos. I too love that image of the fern reflected in the water on your very pretty hosta, I think it's a hosta :) We are so, lucky to have fresh water and you've captured it's life-giving essence beautifully.
