Sometimes when I get a whim to make something it seems very difficult to stop at just one. First there was the leaf and now I have added seed and bark to make a very natural trio.
The forest light was very green this afternoon and it was freezing cold. Please tell me summer hasn't been cancelled. I could tell from my flickr contacts that it snowed last night just about 2 hours north of here. Tomorrow is the first of June isn't it?
I have an idea as to how to embroider a stone. If I am successful you will soon see the results. Hope you had a lovely weekend without snow:)
Oooh ! So delicate !!!
I love it ! The seeds are amazing, they make me hungry :)
They could make a very nice variation to Richard Schilling's "vegetal stained glass" art ...
I love the curled bark, as well ...
And what is it that I spot on the last pic : a stone wrapped in petals ? It looks lovely ! Is there a connection with your embroidered stone project ?

I've been wondering for a long time... that plant under the leaf in the first photo... do you know what it's called? It's not poison ivy, is it? Thanks!

I think you would absolutely love the books "A Seed is Sleepy" and "An Egg is Quiet" both by Dianna Hutts Aston and Sylvia Long. They're children's books, but both have the most amazing watercolor paintings of seeds and eggs, respectively. In the egg book, there are not only bird, but also insect and sea animal eggs. They're both really lovely.
