In the forests where I wander there are only a few naturally occuring stones. They are usually glacial remnants, evidence of a old farm, homestead or even a cleared field that has long been left to return to it's wild form. Sometimes I carry a few stones in my sac, not as part of the resistance training or cardio workout but because I want to see them in the forest light and if time or weather allows to even photograph them. I wanted to share a few of those recent pictures with you today.
Your photos are always so
perfect. I love how clean
your stones look in the
sunshine. The white stones
make the colored even more
vivid. Amazing really.
I would love to see a stone
done in that green bit crocheted
like a sea urchin... look
at this post.

not my photo... but the
patterns on your stones always
remind me of these lovely
teasures.
That spider might walk the
silken strands of my dreams
tonight... so vivid and
the details are so amazing.
Love to you and yours Margie.

Do you remember that place inside me (all of us) I have written about before, the old seat of the soul I am beginning to think now? Well, this morning your work has afforded me a visit, thank you so much Margie! I can't get the stone with the little red centre out of my head, what is the story about the robin with the thorn piercing its breast? I'm probably muddling up several stories but this is what comes to mind for some reason. Sigh!

They look very at home in the forest. I'm in love with your spider, the Argiope. What gorgeous stitching. It truly looks like it just landed on your stone. We have many that live on our rose bush and eat the Japanese beetles. I love their zipper webs.
