One thing I have learned over the years is not to take anything I have for granted. I am thankful for every little thing and every kind person whose path crosses mine. I am showered with blessings daily but lately it has become more of a down pour and I am so way behind in thanking my friends in person it just isn't funny anymore. Yesterday I began the task of getting caught up and I told myself I wouldn't even think about going to bed until I had either emailed or written thank you cards to each and every person on my list. I thought I did well and then when I arrived home from work , guess what , there were two more lovely parcels in the mail. I have so many beautiful things to show you and new stone diaries to share for the rest of this week. Edgar has been by my side almost all weekend so don't be surprised to see his adorable face interspersed between photographs of all the gifts. I never tire of photographing him.
First thanks goes to Kristen , better known as the best photographer on flickr where she goes by the name maine mamma. I purchased some of her wonderful postcards that she sells in her etsy shop before Christmas and she sent them along with some very special extras. Arwen loved the paper snow flakes almost as much as I did.
Next up is Nicole Licht of Astulabee fame. I purchased one of her custom woodlanders to give as a Christmas gift. It didn't arrive until after Christmas so I think that means I must keep it for myself ( see big smile). Nicole wins the artful wrapping award hands down. I actually still haven't had the heart to unwrap its loveliness.
That is Edgar helping Deborah study for exams this week. Adorable , right!!
Last up for today is a "new friend". I am so happy to introduce you to Maribeth Pomerantz and her lovely world. I must have left a comment about how much I liked the beautiful hand embroidered felt pins she makes and she was so very kind to send me one. I love it and it has found a home pinned to my mom's Christmas red cashmere cardigan that I inherited. You should have a look in her etsy shop and see the beautiful dolls and pins she makes.
More to follow over the next few days and I am really excited about the first stone diary installments of 2010.

Oh I forgot to say a big thank you for the pompom inspiration at Christmas.....now that Chrismas is over I hope to hang my "fir cones" in the garden to see if the birds could use some nesting material?

:-)
