and runs to the 6th of February, 2010 at Craftland in Providence, Rhode Island. I am so honored and excited to think of my stones and covered tea saucers mingling with Merilee's fantastic paintings and the local art and craft enthusiasts. It is unlikely that I will make it down for the show because of my mom's illness so if you happen to go to the show please take some pictures and send me a few. I want to thank Faythe Levine for inviting me to participate and the wonderful people at Craftland for hosting it. Faythe and Merilee will both be at the opening next thursday and there will be two showings of Handmade Nation with Faythe in attendance for Q & A after the show. Tickets are limited to 40 so if you plan to attend I would advise you to purchase your tickets ahead of time.
The stones and saucers are all available for purchase so if you live nearby and have been patiently waiting to have a stone to call your own this is a great opportunity to see them in person and pick out your favorite.
thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Congratulations on the show. How delightful everything must look on display. I like the way Merilee's painting you show looks next to the display of your stones on the mosaic. The colors sing together.

Congrats Margie ! I'm so proud of you, you're my heroe ! I wish I could go there too ... And I really hope you will get photos or videos of the show. Of course it will be a great success :) What an amazing work you made ! And I'm sure your stones are even more beautiful in person. It would be interesting to see a photo of them before being covered and after, with the same display. Such an exciting life for them !!!

Yay! What fun it would be to be there in person. Maybe 2010 will be the year you show in a London gallery, then I'd be there in a flash. I'm sure your work will be wildly admired and loved by all who view it, just as it is by me :)

Congratulations, Margie, for the show and the well-deserved recognition for your work. I was felting rocks this afternoon and thinking about how your crochet adds another geological/historical layer to the sea stones. I can't imagine what it will be like to see them all together--sweet, poetic, deeply emotional. I'm going to try to make it for the show, if I can swing the logistics.
