I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers. ~Claude Monet
I believe I owe having become a crocheter to the stones. If it were not for them I think I would likely be spending more time knitting, sewing, embroidering, reading. It isn't that I don't do these things, I do but I would do more of them if it were not for those smooth, hard, heavy, pieces of the earth's crust imploring me.
Happy Monday!!
happy monday to you too! this is a lovely post.

Your stones have made me look at crochet in new ways, and renewed my love for it, thank you!

They're magical. This grouping is particularly lovely and I'm so glad that you do continue to make them. They are unbelievably gorgeous.

What a happy gathering! Imagining all the stitches...
You should see how close my nose was to the screen so I could take them all in, closely! They are so beautiful.

Margaret or do you go by Margie?
Are you familiar with the work of Alan Magee? He is a painter and printmaker in Maine. I love his early realist paintings of stones. He has also had some of them made into beautiful tapestries.
I have painted paintings of cairns that a friend of mine builds on a particular rock near my cottage in Wells. I will post a photo on my FB page. Heather
