This stone will soon be on its way to England in the suitcase belonging to the aunt of Abigail Brown. It is part of a bird/stone exchange. Perhaps the bird will make its journey in her aunt's suitcase as well.
This is the bird Abigail is making for me. Looks familiar doesn't it.
i am so enjoying your posts each evening as i close out the day... and believe that your beautiful crochet stones are, in my opinion, superior to jewelry and chocolate!!! you ROCK! :o) and i truly must find something worthy of a 'trade' with you so that one day, i too will own one of your beautiful creations. do you fancy hand-knit fingerless gloves for the cooler canadian temps, perhaps?

i agree. i have never before seen such fragile design against hard rock, and both are complementary. i'm sure you've heard it all before...
i am also amazed at the intricate patchwork worked into the crochet. the effect is soothing, to say the least.
thank you for showing us all this, and for being such a source of inspiration too!

How exciting to wake up to news of an exchange between two of my favourite artists. The colours in the stone pick up on the colours Abigail often uses in her work and the blue tit is exquisite. We had a little visiter to our bird feeder yesterday, the first one apart from the squirrels, yes, you guessed it, a blue tit of course!
This morning Earl Grey tea and toast and marmalade!

I think my blue tit friends here would be jealous of your new friend. He's very handsome!
What a lovely exchange. I think your new bird will love to perch on your wonderful stones.
P.S. It's Earl Grey and toast for me too!

I love how your style remains you, while evolving. It's like watching a flower change with the seasons, each stage...beautiful.
The bird is wonderful. I can't wait to see the photos you take with it on your porch.

Beautiful, again. It is so intriguing to see in the same post to beautiful things - one that in real life flies and one that doesn't, but that does makes my heart fly. Carolina
