Oh, Margie! That first one - the yellow leaf against bare branches and the BLUE sky. THAT is autumn to me. I am using this photo on my desktop. I hope you don't mind. It is filling me with such joy.

This fall is very unusual for the Pacific Northwest. Unusually high temps and high humidity. Hence, not many trees are changing color. I've got some dry crunchy leaves on the ground and lots of green all around. The sky is a gorgeous blue, but without the contrast of fall colored leaves, it just doesn't have the same impact. Don't get me wrong, I really like not having to run the furnace yet (alergies make me sick with forced air heat) but I am suffering from the lack of crisp cool fall days!

Lovely colours beautifully pictured. Autumn has its charms too ;)

This collection of photos is outstanding (especially that first one with the blue sky!--love that perspective!). And the quote. I said something similar the other day, though it didn't come out as eloquently :) Thanks for sharing with us.
