When geninne and I weren't out enjoying the sunshine and exploring we spent some quality time making things. We spent one afternoon painting stones and partially covering them up. Most of them were for the group show in july at bookhou. I will show you some of those in a post very soon. I did make a few just for fun.
This is my resurrectionfern stone.
and this next one is called summer in algonquin park
I will show some of the other stones we made over the next few days. ( you can catch a little glimpse of one in the next photograph)
along with some beautiful tomatillos. Geninne makes the very best salsas.

I always enjoy seeing your stones. These seem especially pretty. I like the combination of crochet and painting.

I'm imagining the painting on rock to be very soothing. I'll have to try it someday.
And oh how I love tomatillos. To have fresh! Oh you lucky girl.

You make the prettiest stones! What a lovely day that was...sitting outside with you and Daniel :)

These stones are magnificent, Margie !!! I'm hypnotized ... You definitely have a painting skill and these pieces of art "smell" so delightfully Resurrection Fern ! Such wonderful new horizons, for you, with a brush ... Love also your collaboration with Geninne drawing the bird and you covering it with crochet ! I can't wait to know more about your mysterious other stones ... Thanks for the glimpse !

I love the stones. I'm always collecting them in my travels too. I haven't painted on them but I have done pen and inks. I like the one Summer in Algonquin Park. I've never been; it's on my to do list.
