We all have the ability to change, to do something, little or big to make this a better, greener, cleaner, healthier world for ourselves and more importantly for future generations. Small eco battles are being fought across this planet that we live in. Don't hide under a stone ( yes I said that), educate yourself about the issues in your own neighbourhood and also those happening on the other side of the world. We all grow our food in the soil, breath the air and drink the water. We all must protect these essential life giving resources all across this earth.
We've been working on our 'footprint' in our house for a while. We put out only a small bag (I'm talking a few liters in a paper bag) of garbage each week as we recycle almost everything.
We also compost all summer. The amount of some peoples consumption amazes me.
Love your pictures!

it is very important that people buy & live with a conscience. We have made the choice (because we could) not to have a car, and we have never been so happy about that. Buying less, eating organic, less and better too.
Choosing natural fibers over synthetic ones too. As much as it is possible.
Actually every little bit helps. Thanks for the reminder, always xoxox

Great post, true words well written. I hope we live a fairly low impact/light footprint life, but there is always more to strive for.

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Bring the Earth your love and happiness.
The Earth will be safe
when we feel safe in ourselves.

I try to help the earth every day. I try to reduce my footprint as much as possible -- and I run the Eco Club at my school. My parents were Piping Plover protectors in Nova Scotia when they lived there -- they wore uniforms while they walked the beaches -- informing people about the plovers -- and trying to keep the dogs out of the nests.....
