love the deep purples in those first two shots, and the red trillium(?). i can see you are going to have a lot of fun with all the new things popping up this month, and i look forward to following along.

Yes, it will be an amazing month, I can feel it too !
I love these first spring macros with your new lens, they're all stunning !
Loving the tones of these flowers, some being dark but really pretty too
Have a good week ahead !

i agree with k, those purples would be so good to have in a dye

I agree, Margie. It has been a bit of a wait this spring but it is going to be an amazing month.

We had snow again yesterday and my walk in the woods didn't reveal as much green as I would have liked. Our trilliums, plum blossoms, and tree leaves still haven't sprouted, though they were here by Earth Day last year. Until they arrive I'll just sink myself into your beautiful photos.

I especially love the close-ups of the bloodroot. I spied a few brave flowers soaking up the sun in my back yard this weekend. It feels so good!

Oh, glory, you have red trillium. We have the whites that occasionally have a blush of purple. They're one of the most magical fairy flowers out there. = )

ahh, such beauty. it must be so nice now that things are popping up in the forest and garden.

these macro photos are exquisite. I am loving the deep purple-y hues in the first two. I am wondering what plant this could be?? It's so cute how you call these plants "friends". They surely are!

Oh Mister Spring, we were languishing/pining (?) for you !!!
