The dew-covered feather is breathtaking!

aw I'm so delighted that we've been posting about the same thing today, specially the very friendly spotted sandpiper, what a cutie he/she was !!
Unforgettable memories for sure, Nicole, you're so right !

Beautiful photos, Margie. We leave on Monday for a week spent on the shores of Lake Huron and we can't wait. The boys love it there and it has now become our summer tradition.

Oh, where do you go on Lake Huron? We live in Detroit and love it, but need good spots for nature escapes!

Lin

Beautiful! The stones in the water and the running sandpiper.

Amazing photos M! Thank you for sharing them with us. I feel like I was there with you guys and that cute sandpiper.

What a lovely little feathered friend. Thank you for sharing! They have been working hard to clean up the Great Lakes for a long time and it looks like it is paying off. With all your beautiful photos you shold think about sending them to the Nature Conservancy. They have the best photos as well. Very inspirational, just like yours. Hugs to you and yours. Sherry

Such a sweet companion on your walk!

These photos are frame-worthy, to say the very least! I'm awed by them and I thank you for this lovely post, as I've never been there, and most likely never will be. Bless you, Margie!

Wonderful images, I can almost feel that sand between my toes too! Looks like a perfect place to stroll with a friend and sandpipers :)

Unrelated to this post but I wanted to pop in and thank you for all the natural dyeing inspiration. I've been having a great time this week experimenting with dyeing wool yarn using stuff found in my backyard/neighborhood. The results are so cool especially with an iron after mordant. Wow. Thanks so much for the constant inspiration.

Ali

Wonderful pictures, the little sandpiper is adorable!
