Beautiful! If Ben and Daniel were the same age I think they'd be best friends :-)

I love the colour combinations, Margie. I think I have to keep my eyes open for potential blanket sweaters.

I love fields from the air and find them quite an inspiration as you did for these beautiful blankets. I love that you will be adding some hand stitching as well...you are so creative!

Beautiful! So much creativity happening at your house lately.

Stunning. I especially like the gray and yellow - very bold.

Holly McLean

Oh, I love the blankets, especially the gray and yellow one. And it's even better that they're from recycled sweaters.

Such meaningful (beside beautiful !!) gifts : keeping your loved ones warm
So great that Arounna loaned you the serger, and that Deb helped you out threading it ! A team effort ! :)

I love these blankets! I bet that they would be lovely and snugly!

They're fantastic! But I'm guessing old cashmere sweaters are easier to come by over there than over here, I've yet to see one in a thrift shop. Not that I've had made anything so snuggable with them if I had. Can't wait to see them finished :D

ooh they turned out so nicely
you're such a fast worker

i love these! I have boxes of felted sweaters waiting for a purpose, i think this is it!

How cozy. Brings back memories of a certain magic-filled day in November...

those blankets look wonderfully cozy, great colour combos too.

i can't believe how fast you made those! i think the sand, white, and ocean-coloured one is my favourite, not surprisingly ;)

i think i see the sweater i wore briefly over the holidays in it...

Oh my!!! You are so quick! These are amazing:) I love the red cross:) I am so impressed with your serging skills too:) Those machines are a bit scary looking! Have you ever chucked a pumpkin with the trebuchet??

Margaret Oomen

many a pumpkin have been launched in the day, but not by me:)
but water balloons were the best.

These are great and I have been toying with ideas of how to use my thrift store sweaeter stock. So do you mind if I ask: Did you serge them right sides together? Did you use a backing or do you see the rough seems on the back?
