Such emotional memories are stirred up by these wonderful photos. So much has been lost in our throw-away society to the detriment of this beautiful planet. I have collections of linens I have bought just for the beautiful mending...I treasure them and the effort that was put into caring for them...it makes me wonder about the hands that did that neat handiwork and what was going through their mind as they did it? I still mend and patch and darn and make things last...my little rebellion against the throw away society! xx
