the most beautiful parcel arrived from the shop of sonia

went to the white elephant table at the local senior's center and picked up these four ceramic planters for only one dollar total !!! the middle two are made in japan

edgar soaking up the late day sun yesterday on the porch

finally got around to planting my pansies

lovely little parcels from camino silvestre in san miguel de allende 

too pretty to unwrap so they still hang in my studio

was tempted to open this beautiful bottle of tequila last night for a sip

but i resisted

today was a very nourishing day

watching the light flow through the origami leaves as they unfolded

on a sunrise walk in the forest

admiring the buds and tree flowers

bundled up in warm wooly sweaters to have supper on the porch 

with my daughters

as the sun shone low in sky

the star tree

one evening at sunset geninne and i went for a very long walk

we came across a tree that we called the star tree, not knowing its true name

i took a tiny branch of it and brought it home

the stars gave birth to delicate little seeds that looked like angels 

tonight i am thinking of a very dear friend of mine who had to hear some really hard news

geninne's son daniel taught me a sweet little trick to turn my iphone into a macro lens

i love the details of these tiny  blue feathers

i also love how friends from all over the world are sending feathers to geninne for her collection

reminds me so much of my beloved stone diaries

while on the subject of feathers I wanted to show you a feather shrine I found at the base of one of the oldest trees in this particular forest. It was off the path but the sight of that bright blue feather caught the corner of my eye. I came closer and paused a while, offered a little prayer, took a photograph and continued on my walk. Has anyone else come across something like this?

lili is going on her first airplane this weekend

cold cold droplets

i have had a day filled with little frustrating challenges

i am going to sleep on most of them and hope for a 

better brighter day tomorrow

on my maker watchlist

 

i was so pleased that i had an hour to spare on saturday morning

to attend the first city of craft show

including some up and coming young makers

of course my favorite duo were ll and p

the oh so talented offspring of 

arounna and john

i like to think i was there first customer

but i think their auntie snagged a few buttons just before I arrived

it really was a fantastic show thanks to the hard working team at city of craft

i bought a few seconds and fabric bundles from bookhou

a fabric scrap bag ( with some lovely liberty:) from the workroom

two beautiful porcelain pieces from krystal speck 

some second hand books, a vintage liberty makeup case

but my handdrawn buttons from lian and piper and the rorshach paint blot art of this talented team

i don't know about you but i see a spaceship and a butterfly

everyday is earth day

i went out at sunrise for a long walk in the forest

it was cold and dark and actually snowed a little 

i struggled to take a few decent photographs

but later in the morning the sun came out

and warmed my spirit
