i was gardening in the backyard the other day when i heard a tiny little chirping sound from the grass near the trampoline
i walked over and there was a tiny little chickadee toddler staring at me
i went to grab my camera and it followed me around like it thought I was it's mother
it let me get very close to capture its beauty
meanwhile back on the porch edgar was pretending not to notice
:)
so sweet! i love little chickadees and here them up in the treetops all summer (although they come much closer when i feed them in the winter). so very lucky that you got to get so close - and that edgar's tummy wasn't rumbling...

Chickadees are just about the most optomistic birds I know. What a cute little one!

This little being is so lovely.
You do take the most amazing pictures of all of the beauty that surrounds us. I am forever grateful to be able to visit here. It is a gift to me.

It's like he was saying "Are you my Mother?" Reminds me of my favorite book when I was little with that title.

Surely a little birdie told her that you are a friend to all the chickadees...
