tiny mushrooms

something truly magical about these little gems

bring on the fungi

it was looking like there wasn't going to be a mushroom to be found 

in the forest this year due to extreme heat and drought conditions 

in june and july

but then it came

the clouds, the rain

the cooler evenings

and it seemed like overnight

they started to arrive

isn't it amazing what a little moisture can do

i came across this gorgeous beauty on an argiope 

on my lunch break this week

it had one of the most intricate zipper decorations of its web that I had seen

i found it very inspiring

may even stitch its likeness while I am on holidays soon

its torso reminded me of a zulu mask
