you still have until sunday at midnight
before lili
(who by the way is my granddaughter )
will pick a winner
my youngest child is all grown up and in her second year of university in Halifax
i came across this photograph this week looking through a drawer for something
she was sleeping on her granny's couch with pumpkin :)
being a grandparent has really given me the opportunity to reflect on my own children's past
the clothes they wore, the toys they played with, the books they read, the music they listened to
the television they never watched ( we didn't have a tv in our home)
I find myself pulling bins out of storage filled with such memories
smiling at the little things like animal stickers on the castle door
or pencil drawings over the archway
high fiber toast
the block that is way dirtier than all the rest and just so happens to look like a weapon if held a certain way
or politically incorrect pages in ABC books such as E is for Eskimo
Lili loves it all but is especially fond of the large wooden dragon
in other news
