i am not the only one who can't imagine a world without leaves
without trees
without the life giving oxygen they release for us into the atmosphere
without shade
without a resting spot for birds
and a hiding spot for nests
without the exposion of colour that delights us here in canada every autumn
i have such great respect for the leaf
real magic
have a wonderful weekend

Speaking of leaves.. how is the snail family? I feel like we haven't met a lot this summer.

Each & every leaf holds so much possibility, so much capacity, so much strentgh. Thank you for reminding us all the importance of this very particular & important part of the vegetals.
Your beautiful eyes & camera capture so much of their beauty.
Thank you for sharingn my friend.

You've reminded me of Joyce Kilmer's poem,"Trees" - one of my first memorized poems as a child. Trees are living breathing beings, and like us, they bleed when cut. Beautiful, touching post, Margie. Thanks!
