i am so blessed this christmas
all my family arrived home safely
amidst snow storms and ice storms
from as far away as norway
we are really focusing on family
and wholesomeness
the power outage
crystallized this
there is so much in this world to love

cherish
hugs to you all

the first weekend with my youngest home since october
lilith sleeps over
tree cutting
meeting a lovely finnish woman who runs the organic christmas tree farm
with 10 children!!!!
a huge fantastic snowfall
the visit of a beautiful friend from ottawa
warm food
sips of wine
knitting together
the magical city of craft show on saturday
the distillery outdoor christmas market on sunday
more giant snow flakes
thinking of family
and of friends far away
making poured beeswax candles
heavenly scent
coupled with chocolate and clementines
peace on earth

placing little presents and treats in klompen by the canoe
daily meditations inspired by my still advent calendar
and daily amazements with my thrifted advent ( i don't know how tamara managed it)
a little thrifting of my own

a delcious breakfast
yummy scones and homemade preserves
lilith really enjoyed that
a studio sale of the most gorgeous ceramics
back to the studio worshop to wrap some parcels
foraging early sunday morning for greens and bright red ilex berries
the car smells like christmas
then knitting and planning for some doll making
within a week all my family will be home

a thrifted treasure
this ceramic vessel has the most gorgeous indigo blue on the inside

picked up my niece at the airport and treated her to brunch
she might be moving to toronto next year to continue her studies
and a new countdown to christmas displayed in the studio
a gift from a wonderful woman
