just as the sun was rising
the end of daylight savings time
my body just wanted to be lazy
cuddle up with some knitting or a book
drinking warm brown liquids
but i got out my handmade woolens
and headed to the nearest forest
when i saw the snow covered railing down to the path
and the first glimmering crystal of ice on a leafless branch
my body caught up with my mind
and i had the most wonderful walk
i think i had the forest to myself
until i met up with some friendly dogs and their owners
on the path back to the road

Beautiful post! Thanks for sharing such an amazing moment and make us re-live it with you. I can't wait for the first snow here in Quebec City.

Sometimes we really need a kick in the you-know-what for getting out, but then it is so priceless, there is so much beauty out there for one who wants to see it ! Thanks for sharing what you saw & how you felt. xoxo

Oh my, these are gems indeed. I think my favourite ones are the moss little heads, each one like and individual really (which they are!)
